Messenger 8.5.1302.1018 is the most widely used Instant Messenger.
It allows full communication between people that´s online. It´s possible to chat typing text in a Window, with a person or group.

While chatting, you can use different fonts, colors, backgrounds, emoticons and winks.

You can use any animated .gif as an emoticon, or download emoticons and winks from hundreds of websites. You can open a folder with files to share with your contacts, or send them a file directly.

Should you have a web cam, you can start or accept video calls. This way you´ll be able to see your contact and be seen by them, while talking through your microphone and hearing your contact through your speakers. If you don´t have a cam, but you have microphone and speakers, you can perform an audio call.

You can also share fun online activities with your contacts, like MSN Photo Swap, MSNBC.com IM News, MSN Calendar Sharing, XPress Greetings, and more. You can even share a Whiteboard with your contacts, require remote assistance or share applications.

While you´re connected, WLM checks your Hotmail, Live or MSN mailbox, and warns you if you have new messages, or if some of your contacts comes online.
